Ice Cream Cake

I posted on Facebook earlier that I had a craving for some ice cream cake. While I was meaning like a Coldstone Creamery cake w/ frosting and all a friend posted this recipe and gave me an entirely different craving – can you say YUM!? (She claims it’s super easy too!) Bonus!

Take a package of cookies (chips ahoy or oreo – whatever) and crush it up super duper fine.

Melt about 1/3c butter and mix it with the crushed cookies – push into pan to form your “crust.”

Pour hot fudge, caramel, whatever over the crust.

Then put softened ice cream over that layer. PutĀ in the freezer til set.

Then take a second type of ice cream (I like to use vanilla and cookie dough…but any 2 kinds are great!), and put small scoops on the other ice cream layer.

Top with sprinkles and freeze til set.

Mmmm. As if I needed another thing to make me drool. ;) This reminds me of a super simple recipe I ate at a friend’s house well over a year ago. I’m not sure where she got it, but this one looks about the same: http://kidscooking.about.com/od/memorialdayrecipes/r/icecreamsandwic.htm Might have to get some supplies at the store to make this sometime this week! :)
