Pumpkin Bars (re-revisit)

Last time I’ll talk about these ;-)

We had small group here at our house last night and I made these for dessert. But, in making them, there was a minor freak-out – I didn’t have enough sugar. In between quick searching of recipe sites and talking to my mom, I decided to substitute brown sugar for white granulated. I also did not make it GF, instead just using all-purpose flour.

Hea.ven.ly. (If I’m allowed to say that about my own baking, lol)  It came out almost pie-like. It was incredible.

I also used a different icing – I made a Royal glaze (recipe to soon follow) and it just made this dessert even better!

Did you post the recipe for the royal icing you used with these?

I don’t think I did, but I usually just use a mixture of powdered sugar and milk (about 3/4C powdered sugar and 1-2T milk).

And, I don’t even remember what the royal icing was. Sorry! I looked in my cookbook I thought I got it from, but it wasn’t it there…If I remember I’ll email you :-)
