Chicken Junks

Posted by: Terra In: Chicken|Dinner - other|Freezer Meal

1-2lbs of chicken (i usually use 2)
2 cans of crescent rolls
2-4 cups of cheese (we usually use the Mexican blend)
1 can of cream of chicken
1 can of milk
basil
oregano
garlic
olive oil

1. Dice the chicken up and heat olive oil and lots of the spices on med heat.
2. saute the chicken in the spices and olive oil until cooked through
3. let the chicken drain and heat the oven to whatever is on the crescent roll package (350 I think).
4. start heating the cream of chicken and milk on low heat, add lots of cheese and spices to thicken it and make it taste good.
5. roll out the dough and put cheese in each of the triangles, top with chicken.
6. roll up any way you can to get everything to stay
7. top with cheese
8. place in oven for required time on crescent roll package (13-15mins?)
9. enjoy!

If one were going to freeze this, at what step would that be done?

I freeze after step 6. :)

Throw them in the freezer and then, when you want to make them, pull them out to thaw, put them on a cookie sheet, top with cheese and bake.

They are super yummy!

Mindy- They are amazing!! Ross and I doctored the recipe from one my sister gave me. And they do freeze great, I made them for a freezer swap once.

Terra is the freezer swap still goin on? I know I haven’t done it in a long time.

Kacie – It isn’t. It came down to just 3 of us swapping and, in the midst of morning sickness and 1st trimester exhaustion, I couldn’t keep doing the work for it. Hopefully I can start it back up after the new year, after we adjust a little bit :)

Bummer, well if you start it up again count me in. Ross loved it, having meals that we didn’t have to think about but it just got to crazy for a little while.

Of course! Like I said, the earliest would be after the new year, but you’ll be on the list :-)
